WINNAR! This one is badical! The porch is absolutely great. Decent sized yard as well :) Whats the asking price?

For a few thousand, you should be able to straighten most driveways out.

it usually costs a few thousand just to pave a driveway
then tack on the heavy machinery and operators...

something to consider, maybe have them knock the price down a bit so you can fund a driveway project

i havent seen the house yet but it looks like the driveway is fine... the pic is just at an odd angle that makes it look steeper than it is

just in from both showings.

both houses are REALLY nice.

the driveway isn't as bad as it looks. its steep-- but its not crazy. no scrape-age on the M :)
the lot is very private and its dead quiet.
there's 3 living rooms. lol its weird. theres the main formal.
theres a 3 step drop to the 2nd living room
and then the basement area is finished and is also a living room. lol

the master is ok... not as big as i had hoped, but big enough and has a full bath and walk in.

bdrm 2 and 3 are pretty small.

there's also a contingency on them finding a home of choice before sale... which as we all know from me might take a while...

the ranch is beautiful inside. huge house. pool is dope. theres a gas firepit area, 2 levels of decks, and is a perfect entertaining yard. central vac, all gas stove, heat, etc, and there's no contingencies. and its about 15 grand cheaper, and about 1000 cheaper on taxes than the split level.

but, it's also on the other side of town away from work... which will add 15 min to the already long commute... so thats a consideration. its also much farther from the g/f :( lol its up on the hill above the river, so flooding wont' be an issue, it will drain the opposite way.

i'm leaning towards the split level right now.

both of them are decent.. i think you're good with which ever one you choose..

both look dope, both are big and both are what you kind of want.

Personally I'd make a list of the pro's and cons of each then decide. Like hand write your list and you'll have to think detailed about which items are important and which aren't.

First off, where have I been? When did B get a gf?

But anyway, to the houses.
#1-Was extremely nice but you cant get it, whatever, fuck it.
#2-Was built by an architect with a ruler and no imagination. Seriously that house is nothing but right angles.
#3-Looks sweet, my pic definitely.
#4- House is ok but I have a thing with houses that half the frontal view is garage. God knows I'll need a big garage but I don't think they should be like that.

What ever you choose, good luck.

dude, i bought a house :D

talked 'em down from 339,000 to 324,500. :)

looking to close at the end of august, 1st week in septemeber ish.

i bought the green-ish split level steve quoted above.

moving party!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations.

Is that over or under what you had budgeted to spend? Do you need to do any repairs or spend extra on appliances, etc. that will put you over your budget?

pretty much spot on. 330 was my max i was willing to go, so its right there.
the house is 100% finished (basement included) and is absolutely immaculate. it needs nothing. i'd eat off the floor. seriously.

sick.

Love the house man.

sweet
Very nice, man.

I'd way turn that room over the garage into a studio.

i'd love to... but over the garage are the 3 bedrooms.

I'm thinking addition in the future... the bedrooms are f'in tiny....

congrats, here's to the next 30 years!

lol

thats what they said about the condo. i didn't even make it 2 years there before i upgraded :D

Congrats B!!!....looks sweet1!!!1!!

He will be fine.... we practically live together anyway. The only thing we don't do together is sleep in the same house, really. i see the bastard every day, he blows up my bathroom all the time, and eats my food.... things won't change :D
