has anyone tried to download something lately?

Same thing's been happening to me.

Either that or 15 seconds of intro and then the rest EEEEEEEEEE (scratching).

I was discussing it with my friend and he said he switched programs, to like ARES or something of the sort, and that fixed everything. Back to normal.

I guess people from the government are just downloading popular songs and then h4x0r1n9 them and letting everyone download them.

It only happends with the new released songs from my experience.
 
I've been having some of the troubles also. I just started going old school and searching for plainjane .mp3's on google, and yeah found all my songs.
 
get songs from kazza. i use it day and night

how do you think songs got there in the forst place? by people ripping cds!!!! and well, people are assholes sometimes and rip in loops, and make bogus files. its your fault for DL'ing the gay copy.

if you didn't listen to mainstream crap, you wouldn't have that problem. :)
 
Also, the reason your download "sped up" is because it was probably downloading a loop of white noise. When a PC sees similar information, it just makes a copy of the old information and saves that. It's called a "Block/Packet Comparison". I didn't know Kazaa used it.

It was basically saying.. "Ok, now this part is the same as the last, so just make a copy of the last 4 seconds over and over and over again til 5 minutes and 26 seconds. Ok, no here's something new... Madonna is telling you to FUCK OFF. Ok, that's the end the MP3."
 
Yeah the same shit happened to me yesterday when i tried to download the Deftones. All the song titles were on there, but when i listened all it was was some talking for a few seconds then silence for the rest of the song. same shit happened when my gf tried to get U2, first 15 seconds then scratching noises.

I dont' know how to get winmx to work. anyone have a crash course on how/where to find the good stuff with winmx?
 
kazaa will be dead in about 3 months, i read stuff about a new type of a program that is going to come out. since we will be starting from the begining again there will be no bunk files (unless thats what your ptting them out there.) and it will be safe because you download parts of a song, not the whole thing, and i dont think you can copyright a part of song. they will never, ever be able to stop this. they should just give in and save themselves a ton of money.

on a side note: they are sewing people for several hundred dollars (over $500) which qualifies as a felony. which means alot of people cant vote, so the music industry can keep their political power and make laws against file sharing.

i also haven't heard the porn industry compaining all that much, and its a sinch to get that off kazaa.

That's what Kazaa is, you download seperate sections of the song from different people.
