    Sunny Florida!!!

Thats right folks, I'm no longer in shitfuck-podunkville Indiana, I'm in St Augustine Florida soaking up this badass hot weather and sunshine. :D

1040 something miles and 18 hours of driving straight through later.

Yesterday Brian and I, with the help of Phil, got my exhaust all fixed up and I took off around 6:15 pm from home and hit up I69 southbound all the way through I95 south to Sunneh FL for some vacation time.

What are all of you fuckers up to this week? Me? I'm gonna be chillen. bwaa

You think you're from Podunk ?

Noah, ScrapinSi, is literally - from Podunk.

Also, if this is your first time down there, you gotta tell me what you think about the fucking lizards everywhere. That had me giggling like a kid.

Welcome to Florida! St. Augustine is a nice place. But, if you think it's hot there, drive south for 6 hours and sit on the east coast between the ocean and lake Okeechobee. North and south FL are COMPLETELY different.

About the lizards, I've never even thought about that being abnormal being so used to it and all. You're right, there is at least 5 in plain view on every tree, fence post, and etc. My brother's dog does nothing but hunt them all day, everyday. It's also funny to watch cats hunt them.

We have squirrels and deer up here. Other than that, the occasional Raccoon and possum. Maybe a moose when you get into the northern states.

But Florida - EVERYTHING is different as far as terrain. The grass is so thick and wide that you can cut your foot, there are these 6 foot long lizards that jump out of the water and pull you in, instead of beetles and bugs you have semi intelligent lizards and you have (While I never saw any) roaches that you can saddle.

I went to NASA and they roped off a section of the balcony because there was a baby alligator just sitting there. I wanted to pet him SO BADLY but apparently security frowns on it. It's hard for me to take the risk seriously because I'm never exposed to it. most of the wildlife down there comes with warning signs and protective measures. Oh, and you have Eagles and we have owls. That was wierd too.

The times I've been in the NE wasn't spent enjoying scenery, but I always saw deer on the side of the road. I've hunted in Ohio and the deer are way bigger up there and all of the north for that matter. Deer are large dogs here. We have as many squirrels, raccoons, possum, and armadillo as we do lizards here. You can't drive 1 mile without seeing one of them as a road decal. I saw a moose once in Vermont. We also have plenty of owls. Well, I'm in a rural area compared to the rest of FL so I see all of these things often. Anywhere else, god no.

About alligator, the babies teeth are sharper than razors. But yeah, those fuckers are everywhere and not a force to reckon with. I used to run my mom's dogs down to the end of this dirt road with a boat ramp so they could walk in the water for a drink and cool off. Within 1 minute, you would see at least 3 surfaced gator heads slowly moving in on them. They're mostly quite docile considering they are good for up to a week after eating just one big meal. Basically, your odds of getting eaten are 1 to 7. Almost makes you feel bad to kill them just for their tail, but they probably outnumber us with their growing army and I will have none of that.

Wow that post was all over the place, I'm going to bed.

    I haven't seen any lizards.

But I haven't gone out much. After 18 hours and 1048 miles... I haven't driven anything anywhere for the past 12 hours now.

So, I've officially seen and even been in the ocean now. Now my goal is the Gulf and Pacific Ocean, since I've witnessed first hand the Atlantic Ocean today. Good times, collected some seashells on the seashore.

Anywhere we go (NJ and NY'ers), we get it easy cause we're from Dirty Jerz and as they all call it the Big Apple (ha, ha, only out-of-staters call it that). They hear the accent and it's a wrap.
