I havw a D16Z6 in my 89 Civic DX hatch. Right now i'm using the old DX throttle cable i tried an integra cable but the inner line was too long. What cable should i be using. The DX is way too long overall.

Wouldn't a DOHC be too long?

Use one from a Civic with the D16A6. A 88-91 Civic or CRX Si. I just did that today for a D15B87. The 88-89 Integra one will work too, it's just a little shorter and has to be adjusted a little. Get the pieces that it runs through too.

you always want to buy the cable for the motor. if you have a D16Z6, you should use a cable for that motor.

you can't use a DOHC cable on that motor, it's the wrong lenght.
