whats the date on the title? when was it issued with the 100K mileage

Tell them what the fuck you found and see. They have to buy that shit back.

you bought a car from one of those fucking lots that sells at like 24.99% interest rate to the mexicans that can't afford to pay cash didn't you?

they knew it had a rebuilt title. it says it right there on the title. and if you bought it without taking a look at the title or asking about it, chalk that one up to being new at car buying.

second, why didn't you look up the value on that car? you would have clearly seen it isn't worth that much. stop trying to sell it and take a loss. you will have to find someone as dumb as you if you want to sell it for $2000.

now to help you. call the dealer/stealer and tell them it's on a rebuilt title. if they accept it, try to get your money back. if not, call an attorney.

the money you spend on the lawyer will more than compensate for the amount of money you would lose if you sold it for $1000. in the future, ask someone who knows about cars. there are 1,000 members on here that would have told you not to buy that car.

good luck, and please, if you are going to ask for advice on here, at least consider it.

so you had the title in hand since 11/15/06 and you're just now asking about it?

no, i got the title a few days after christmas, i got the car 12/16/2006
11/15/2006 thats when they had the title Mailed to them at the dealership. I don't know whats up with this bs title and the mileage on it:huh: , but i am gonna start a bitching complaint if the refuse to help, then its off to the bbb, which i already mailed and talked to. They told me its better to try to resolve it with them first and if they don't admit to it, then me and the bbb will take it to court.

So you just got the title with your name on it from the DMV, correct? Looks like you've already taken the appropriate steps prior to contact. The most important thing to remember is be cool at first, don't be mad and/or yelling at them. The more relaxed and confident you are the more likely things are to be resolved with the least amount of hassle. Save the BBB as a last ditch threat, just keep that card in your back pocket for as long as you can...you might not even need to pull it. As the saying goes, you catch more bees with honey than vinegar.

The best thing to do would be to get your money back and buy from a private seller. You can find cars in better shape for the same price. Use AutoTrader.com and Craigslist.org for looking.
you have been the best help so far, but i have not got it titled in my name yet, lack of funds. I talked to the bmv last week, they said talk to them first before i try to title the car.

Thank you, glad I could help. Get right on this though, you might already be out of time.
Took it 2 the stealership today, Looked all the paperwork over, said its a duplicate title:( from when the old owners bought the car and thats why the mileage looks funny along with the date, also, no where on the title does it say Salvaged or Rebuilt^_^ ...... Ran a car fax while i was there. Nothing came back:eek: ... Maybe carfax is wrong, but i dought it:huh: . So its me takin a loss and kicking myself in the ass..... Never should of bought (*A Honda*) .....
fuck i am sooooo stupid:rolleyes: , the sells person also said, "We talked about it, and you knew, i said, thats after i had the keys and paper work signed and i was ready 2 go, none of the paperwork says that they discolosed the "Rebuilt/Salavged Title" shit... Well, gotta take it and go... *Someone kick me in the face please*

This is a DEALERSHIP though ! Whether they told you or not, they CAN NOT Sell a salvage vehicle ! Not any state, not any special permit ! They literally CAN NOT sell you a salvage vehicle !

Talk to a lawyer, dammit.

So what your saying is too contact a lawyer, and sue them for selling me a Rebuilt car with a rebuilt title? If so, i am contacting teh bbb right now, agian.

Hey all, just want to let you know, that i just got done visiting the BMV, they researched the cars history and Information for free, and it came back, ready for this, CLEAR!!!!!!! WOOOOT!!!!!! :) So who wants to buy it for $1700????

keep the car and learn to drive the manual. it aint that hard. i taught a buddy of mine in a 1980-something Ford Escort in an empty parking lot and he had it down in an afternoon. it aint that hard. just find an empty parking lot (one with a hill preferably) and practice. its not that hard, it just takes some patience. if i have the patience to teach someone to drive (and everyone here knows me and patience dont get along well), then you can learn to drive a car with a manual transmission. :)

I might be able to find someone around here willing to pay 500 for it, but only if it's in perfect shape.

I could find a $2000 buyer in my area. From what I've seen, pack your bags and go to Oregon for a week. Those fuckers will pay BIG BUCKS for a 4 door civic. Man, Jared (BP) showed me some of their highway robbery deals on Civics that I can get for under $1000 all day long.

tell you the truth, it took me all of 20mins to learn to drive it without killing it, though me and first still don't really get along, its starting to get better between us though..

I know, but i would feel more safe in a auto... I am thinking about selling it, but not for sure...
