i know i need to retard the timing for the boost, .75 degrees per pound of boost, is that correct? but i'm also wondering about the idle on my car. i just got it all together and the idle fluctuates between 600-800 rpm's, feels like it surges. when i adjust the distributer counter clock wise (looking from the passenger side) i can cure it up. i think that direction is retarding it, isn't it? should i do this until it idles correct or what? or should i let it idle rough. just tell me what i need to know. i also put colder plugs in the car (bkr7e), do those cause the car to run or idle any different?
