i have had both a gates racing and an OEM belt on my car. i have BC valve springs and retainers, BC stage 2 turbo cams. the only difference I saw with the OEM vs gates belt is that the OEM belt would tend to stretch when i tried to get any sort of tension in the belt. the gates racing belt just tensioned up and stayed that way.
