Getting ready to replace the timing belt on my D16z6. Just curious what belts are the best?

Ive done some searching and I have heard gates make a good one..
also gates has 2 belts listed down for the 1.6 vtec just curious what the diffrence are between the 2.

to answer your question about 2 different belts for the 1.6 vtec... one is for the d16 and the other is for the b16.

Gates makes really good belts. I would get the better Gates belt or OEM. Come to think of it Gates supplies Honda with there timing belts on some of there newer cars.

    ^

OEM was made specifically for your type of engine, Gates all those other aftermarket parts take OEM specs and duplicate the parts..

Yea!! But I am sure they didnt think people would be revin there motors to 7k+.

I just don't want a belt to break if I do decide to rip on the motor a bit. But hey I am new to the Honda world so what do I know.
