timing

Hey guys,
I have a B16A in my 1990 civic, just wondering what the ignition timing should be at, i have been doing it by ear, but i don't feel comfortable with that. I have been checking mitchell guides, but seeing as the only american production B16A is obd 1 and 2, i am not sure if it should be the same reading.
