Tire size question?

I have a 98 Honda Civic Coupe and I was wondering what is the biggest 17 inch tire I can fit on my car. I know that I can fit a 205 tire but is that the largest I can go without any problems.

Is it lowered, or are you going to lower it?
I have 215/45 cuz the roads are shitty. Only had a problem when I lowered it 1.8 inches. So I got springs to only lower it 1 inch. We will see how it goes.

Depending on your rims, you can get some wider or narrower tires.

For my experience when I had 17x7 rims, the widest I went was 215 on the tires and no taller 45. You might be able to get wider tires like a 225 on there. But, I won't guess on that.
