No im not talking about the awesome super mod b16... i recently purchased tool's cd Aenima after having listened to them on the radio for years and never buying anything. Ive gotta say i should have bought it sooner, this has got to be one of my new favorite cds of all time. stinkfist, h., 46 and 2, and aenima are all great songs that i never really knew the names to until i bought this cd. are the rest of their cds as good as this one?

i dont think there is a bad tool cd out there! deffinatly a great band to listen to from front to back

if you like tool, the undertow album is a must. opiate is pretty cool,

check out "a perfect circle" same lead singer and songwriter, but a little bit more artsy music.

Eat some shrooms and watch Nightmare Before Christmas with the volume down and Lateralus playing.

welcome to the party... you're 14 years late

jeebus man

Ænima was released in fucking 1996

anyway... yes it is a phenomenal CD

it is hard to say whether or not you would like the rest of Tool's stuff because every disc is quite different from the others

Opiate - 1992
Undertow - 1993
Ænima - 1996
Salival - 2000 (CD/DVD or VHS set... CD contains live songs, DVD/VHS has Videos... Tool has really fucking weird videos)
Lateralus - 2001
10,000 Days - 2006

i like, and own, all of their stuff... Ænima is my favorite disc of theirs (definitely in my top 3 of all time list)... but id be hard pressed to place the rest in any particular order, they are all very good in their own ways, and depending on my mood i will readily reach for any one of them

A Perfect Circle is definitely something to check out... you will likely love that too
Mer de Noms - 2000
Thirteenth Step - 2003
Emotive - 2004

all are excellent

Puscifer is another of Maynard's side projects... but that is completely different than the Tool or APC, or anything else youve probably heard, and should be approached with caution... its kinda weird... a lot of people cant get into it

"V" Is for Vagina - 2007
"V" Is for Viagra. The Remixes - 2008
"C" Is for (Please Insert Sophomoric Genitalia Reference HERE) - 2009

i have the first 2 discs... they are both good... i havent yet been able to find the third... but from what i have heard on their website it is also good stuff

if you want to hear puscifer, check out their website and myspace. like E said, i couldnt' really get into it. he is actually touring small show houses as puscifer. keep an eye out.

i was 14 in 96 so i know im a bit late. lol i didnt really start to actually listen to (and appreciate) music until 99-2000. plus i grew up on country (parents) and pop rock stuff.

I have this shirt, but it's extra large, so I've never worn it. It's still brand new, just sits in my drawer.

Damn... was hoping this thread was about me... what a shame. :(

My personal favorite from Tool; sober. Loved the video.

here are the 8 videos that Tool has released

The first five are available in the Salival box set (the VHS version does not contain "Hush").

The two from Lateralus (Schism and Parabola) are each available on their own DVD singles, as is the "Vicarious" (from the CD 10,000 Days) video.

on a side note...

watching Tool videos on a big ass screen while on some form of hallucinogenic may or may not be the best idea

just a heads up :)

might i draw your attention to the "Third Eye - Prologue" (start up to track 15) on that very CD you just purchased

YouTube - Rrreal fuckin'high on drugs

the text in the video sucks and is a bit hard to read... so i am pasting it below

"See, I think drugs have done some *good* things for us, I really do. And if you don’t believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a Favor: go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your cd’s and burn em’. 'Cause you know what? The musicians who’ve made all that great music that’s enhanced your lives throughout the years...
Rrrrrrrrrrrrreal fuckin' high on drugs."
--Bill Hicks

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather."

"It's not a war on drugs, it's a war on personal freedom, it´s what it is ok?. Keep that in mind at all times. Thank you!"
-- Bill Hicks

My uncle is starting a new band with tool's lead guitarist Adam Jones.

I'm pretty stoked.

And I used to rock a tool bumper sticker on my crx when I was 16. Gotta love 'em.

Hooker With A Penis

Tool is easily the best concert I've ever been to. They rarely tour, but if you ever get the opportunity, SEE THEM!
