is it true that if you don't have these torque mounts (b20 w/ low manifold in an ek) the IM will hit the hood under high revving?

I have seen the valve cover (b series) hit the hood in a civic because the front torque mounts were not used and the rear mount was shot, but The intake manifold should never hit the hood because under heavy acceleration, the engine shifts from front toward back in a d or b series application, so unless the intake mani is toward the front of the car for some ungodly reason, then it won't hit the hood. Maybe the firewall if all of your mounts are completely destroyed, but not the hood.

so i got pretty much nothing to worry about.. all my mounts are new OE.. but im missign the tq mounts.

Either way.. ill be getting the tq mounts as soon as I find a set for cheap.

defintately get the tq mounts, they are there for a reason.
