tranny internals swap

i have a friend that has a b16 tranny that has a cracked housing, what i want to know is can you take the internals out from the b16 and put it into a b18 tranny from a 91 da integra? any info will be great.

If it is an old school y1/s1/j1 cable b16 tranny. If it is a newer b16 tranny, the internals aren't the same; you'll need a newer 92+ case.
