tranny on b16sirII

I did the swap on my car and after driving it for several weels I noticed that my third gear grinds when I shift over 2000 rpms. So I'm thinking of buying a new tranny.I found one on ebay 1,600-1,700 bucks, but It looks like its a usdm.Is there a difference in performance between the jdm and usdm? Is it still a good deal? Or should I rebuild the one I have, and if so where can I get it done.

where i live you can purchase an ITR tranny with LSD for $1k. what tranny is 1600-1700? thats gotta be for a new one right?

yeah it says it's new,it also says that the final drive 4.4 is that good?

hmm...well considering that chances are your snychros is a little punk and drublic, if you are considering spending 1,700 I would fix yours, add the 4.7 final drive and get a Kaaz while your at it. Should hit that price and you will have a better tranny.

I have a question...Doesn't the type r transmission already come with lsd?

will i get better performance with a type r tranny than the stock tranny on my b16

I believe that the newer R trannies "97+" came with the 4.785~ final drive also.

That is way too much for a used tranny, or a "new" one on Ebay, check some of the online motor dealers, they have trannies sometimes.
