Tranny Questions?

I need to know what years and make(honda or acura) that the ys1 came out of. I need to get a keeper pin for the shifter linkage. Next one. After cracking the tranny case what is a good sealant for putting it back together? last ? What is the torque specs for the tranny case? Thank you for your help

Well i found out that the ys1 cable trans comes out of 91 integra. so all i need is a good sealant to put on the case and the torque specs for the bolts for the case.

I use Permatex Ultra Grey for the sealant. It is imperative that both mating surfaces be clean and dry. I spray brakleen on a shop rag and wipe the surfaces down. It does a really good job of evaporating any oil.

Torque on the tranny case bolts is 20 lb/ft. as per a 1995 Integra service manual.
