Tranny real notchy...why is that??

I wanted to find out...why is my tranny do notchy??? Like after coming to a stop from being in 3-5th gear its sooo hard to get into 1st...like real tight..not loose...honestly it feels like a brand new trans..but i know its not...and its a 94 vx...maybe change my fluid?? what should i use? and how much of it?? thanks

Yeah, check all the stuff swanny said. If it's none of those things, it could also be a bad pressure plate in your tranny.

my suggestion is change the fluid first. (pennzoil syncromesh is good or regular 10W-30 motor oil is good). give the oil about 500 miles and if still no difference then do like everyone else said. all of those things can make a difference.
