Trans castings?

I was told I had a gsr trans in my car when I bought it. It hooks possi everytime. I was reading about the tranys the other night and how to determine what it is by the castings. So out of curiosity I went to look. I can search and find what the numbers are all day but nothing about where they are. I have looked and looked and im not seeing anything. Does anyone know?
