Trans question

i have a 90 honda civic hatch that has a d15b2 and it has a 4 speed trans on it. i want to upgrade to a 5 speed and was woundering if a 88-91 si trans will work.

i have done some searching and i can't seam to find any info.
will the si trans work?
will the stock axles work?
if i need anything else, what will i need?

stock axles will work - stock shift linkage will work - you only need a transmission to swap it - as Blanco said, anything but the 88 transmission will work and you cannot use a ZC transmission with the stock axles

You CAN use an 88 transmission if you swap flywheels and clutches.
