I have a b16 tranny that I bought from steve that has the optional KAAZ LSD option. Should I use the special KAAZ oil (Thats $40) or can I just use normal 80w90 GL-5 oil + LDS additive? KAAZ claims their oil is thin enough to not steal power from my engine, but is this really true? Is the KAAZ stuff that much better?

Can I get a second opinion? Will standard 80w90 be too thick for temporary oil until I can get some KAAZ stuff? Or should I just use 5w30 for the time being?

I would recommend you use the Kaaz oil... but you can probably just fill it up with Honda MTF and some Positraction friction modifier. That works damn well with clutch LSDs too.

Basically, yeah. I used the "Trans-X" stuff from AutoZone. It's about $4 a tube. Squirt that in, then fill up the rest with Honda MTF. It worked great with the OEM clutch LSD in my CRX.
