Transmission or axle?

i really wasnt sure where to put this but. I put in a new swap and one of my axles came apart which was the first thing. Well i put the tranmission in gear with no axles to make sure both sides turned. Well they both spun very well. I put both axles in and fixed that one side. Well i turned the passenger axle (one which was broke) and the drivers side turned fine. So plus there. Well i started the car and put it in gear to move and only the drivers side moved? is that normal? should both of them spin? or just one? could it be a bad axle? any info will be appriciated

Well, both sides should turn at least a little. However, since you probably don't have LSD, any slight drag could cause just one side to spin. Like if your brakes drag slightly on one side, the other would still turn.
