Transmission Question

hey,

my first day here. well wat i wanted to know was that would i need to change my gears or transmissin or whatever with a b18c1 transplant. my cars a 5 speed 1995 civic which at the moment has a 1.5 carb engine.any changes wat so ever needed in that gear or transmission area, its already manual.

you cant use your stock tranny (D series) with the GSR engine (B series)
you will need to get a "full swap"

and what kind of 95 civic still had carbs????

ok so the engine with wiring n ECU is costing me about 1400 dollars so how much will the transmission cost.

In Europe we have a EG that has a carbed engine,but I haven't seen one older than 93.

a rough estimate on the price of a descent GSR tranny is about $700, give or take. i have seen used ones as high as $1200(that particular one had ITR gears in it) and as low as $400.
