I have a 1988 honda crx with a obd1 ecu, rywire b series and a 0bd2 jdm b18 type r motor. I really want this car to run and i hate asking for help but i know i need it now.

im not getting trigger signal to my igniter. and i don't know what to do next or what could be causeing it. i don't know if it has anything to do with my motor, ecu, or just me being stupid. if i could i would pay someone to come wire this thing for me.

if anyone can help i would be much appreciated.

Hi chadscrx you need to look at your pinout configuration on the obd1 and mach the output of the trigger wire to the pin position.

What harness are you using? what have you done so far for wiring? It's hard to really offer a solid suggestion without more information.

we have all the pinouts in the reference forum (top of the main list)

I'm using rywire b series harness. Obd1 the ecu to obd2 the motor. I've wired the sub harness into the cars harness. The motor will crank but does not fire. I don't really know what to do so I've just been working one step at the time. I know the distibutor is getting power, i have a brand new igniter. I used an led to test the trigger wire (yellow and green) with key on the led is on, but when I crank the motor the led goes out. It is supposed to blink as the ecu is sending signal to the ignitor. That's where I'm at right now.

from the pictures, it looks to me like it has an OBD0 to OBD1 ECU jumper harness and the engine harness is some kind of OEM harness

That was before I bought the rywire harness. I'm not sure how you are seeing those pics. unless you are looking at the first post i made on the site. I bought the rewire because i thought it was plug and play, but i was wrong, but I have learned a lot and this has been a learning experience.
