    What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

    Which is better for which application?

    wish i saw this before i left for work... i got a book mark at home with like every intercooler spec/info you could imagine on it.

    Bar and plate have better internal aerodynamics, and tube/ fin have better external aerodynamics. It's been said that bar and plate have better heat transfer properties, but the difference is next to negligable in a street car.
