tunning problems

i have a 99 civic coupe with h22 in it....running all-motor....i have crazy popping after deaccelerating...anybody kno what that is?also i have another problem i dont know which ecu program too get the HONDATA S200,S300 OR SPEND ALL THE $$$$ON AEM MANAGEMENT.....i need a couple of thoughts on this

Maybe detonation? Not really sure, check your timing and tune up items to make sure they are all good to go. Is this engine built with high compression or anything? If so detonation is a likely cause if the setup is not tuned properly.

i doubt it is detonation if it is popping. detonation (engine ping) sounds like bb's in a tin can. most likely just the car backfiring. your car is probably running really rich. as for software id go for the s300 but if you dont want to spend the cash the s200 will work just fine. im running the s200 and really like it
