Ok I have a stock 2000 CX hatch. It is a daily driver and I am wanting to go turbo D. But first, I wanted to do a mini me head swap w/ a Y8.
is this a good idea? With the added compression, will I still be able to boost mildly on stock internals?

My hp goals are ~200-250whp. Street driven.. I kind of wanted the turbo to kick in later, that way I can drive around the city without wasting gas with the turbo while in first and second. With that said, here is the setup I was thinking of going with, and just wanted your opinions:

    D16Y8 head onto a Y7 block
    Y8 Intake Mani, TB
    Y8 Tranny
    Cosmetic head gasket
    arp studs
    chipped&tuned P28 ECU w/ crome
    Exedy clutch

For turbo, I am looking at t3/t4 turbo 42/48.. I hear bad things from this turbo, because it's too small. Does anyone have this turbo? Would you suggest going to the 57 trim?
