Turbo Header Question

I was planning on doing a cheap turbo build utilizing a Honda Civic STD Manifold to mount the turbo to. My question is, after I mount the turbo, attach the downpipe, will I be able to place a Catalyctic converter between that and the exhaust piping? I live in the great state of Cali and I need to pass smog.

well, you won't pass visual like that anyway...

the greddy kit is your only option if you want to be legit in cali. its got a carb approval.

This may be a stoopid question, but when they "visually" inspect your vehicle for smog, what do they look at and how do they fail/pass you on visual?

they look to make sure that all OEM smog control equipment is present, and yes they know what should and shouldn't be on your car

they're gonna look for things like charcoal canisters, PCV's etc
