im piecing back my turbo kit for my sol, and saw a post about over oiling your turbo and blowing shaft seals. i just bought a earls s.s. kit, and i dont know if it has one in it......i found one on ebay for like 20$ and am going to get it i think. does it go on the engine side or at the turbo? thanks
 
It goes in your oil feed line to your turbo. Garrett turbos with a standard thrust bearing are rated for ~65 psi oil pressure. Above that you're going to have a greater chance of pushing oil past the seals and cause premature wear.
 
checked out the atp, its cheaper than ebay, thanks formby, thats allright to use on a t3/t4 turbo,right? its a nissian turbo if that matter, thanks.....robbie
