depends on your driving.

if you drive hard and run your car with a lot of spool, then they are a good thing. you really don't need it if you can sit in your car for 60 seconds before shutting it off. if you want to just get out after you stop, then it's a good thing.

as long as you're willing to let it cool down for a bit before shutting it off , its not really necessary.

generally, you won't be bosting in your neighborhood... so just putt putt home and chill for 10 secs and you'll be fine
