Turboedit Tuning

    I have a 93 dx hatch boosted boosted 6 psi. im thinking about burning the ecu with turboedit but it says i need a wideband 02...is that really necessary because i have everything else and i just wanna give it a try.

    Yes you need it- because without the wideband O2, you're not tuning- you're guessing.

    how so? i donwloaded a base map already programmed for my motor and boost.

    Again, you're not tuning- you would just be burning someone else's program. If it's a program you trust, then go for it- but it's not programmed for YOUR engine unless it was tuned on YOUR car. It might be pretty close, but I would still want to verify that everything runs correctly before you start beating on it. You don't want to end up with a blown engine.

    why are you using turbo edit? that's mostly an obd0 program

    An obd1 ecu with a harness.
