turboing my d16y8 96 civic

    hi, this is my first post as a new member. i was wonder im getting ready to turbo my car and i have a 2g dsm t25 turbo and smic,1g dsm bov and an hf manifold. Now is there a difference between an automatic and manual turbo or are they the same? if there is a difference will the turbo work on my civic if my car is an automatic right now and the dsm turbo is off an manual eclipse?any replies would be greatly appreciated thanx in advance.

    SAME! Just that the torqe converter can't handle too much hp!

    what you have will work. the t25 will spool up pretty fast. you should hit full bost by 3500 4000. youll start boost in 2000 area. so there wont be that much lag at all. i say doit and start saving for an manuel trany so when or if you kill the tq converter you will only have a day or two of down time

    They make upgraded TQ converters and valve body service too. Level10 in NJ is the shit :D
