it all depends on how big of a turbo you want, and what kind of power you want to get. If you want a turbo that spools quick, but a little less power in the higher range, then i would look into a 14b(1st gen) or t25(2 gen) turbo from a DSM.
Well if he is gonna stay with stock internals, the small DSM turbo will keep his engine from blowing. Even tho ANY boost, without extra fuel management, will blow ANY motor.
