ok, i just bought type-r pistons, rings, and wrist pins, brand new for $270. it stated: type r pistons, brand new set for 1996-2000 civic. it was a buy it now option with free shipping and 100% positive feedback from seller. my question is, i have a 94 gsr and was wondering if the piston bore size of the type r and 96-00 civic are the same as my gsr, or if the bore is smaller than my gsr block. if the piston bore is bigger its really no big deal, ill just bore my cylinders to fit them. i am just looking for opinions on the stuff i bought and info on sizes and fitment etc. also what rods would i need? thanks
 
well if you have a B series block then all bores are the same except in the B20/CRV bottomend which is 84mm, you might have got oversized pistons which is like .025 larger bore i believe...so in that case you just bore out a little more and create a tad more displacement...good luck
 
You bought B16B pistons for a D16?
