the answer is NO!!!! the SH tranny will only fit a h22a5 ( i think thats the code) or a type-s motor. The SH motor and tranny are for each other, no replacements. the only thing you can swap in an SH if the motor goes is the type-s engine, or if your tranny goes a type-s tranny.

actually... all of the h and f series transmissions are interchangeable, with the exception of the f series in the s2000.

nope... the SH tranny nor mottor can be interchanged with any other motor due to the atts. do your homework kid, i been tru a swap and done many more to know that you cant do that. if you motor on your SH dies, you have to either rebuild or get another SH one (or the type-s)

OR you could disable the atts. and use the regular engine/tranny. i had an integra with an h22a4 and a type s tranny, and it worked perfectly.

right but thats in an integra, forget about those... you have a prelude, and you want to use an SH tranny in a 4th gen si, then using the SH tranny and disabling the atts defeats the purpose, there would be no point on using the tranny if the atts doesnt function... its like buying a v8 and only using 4 cylinders... a total waste.
so basically you wasted your money by disabling the atts and buying an integra...

well, first off, i bought the integra that way. second off, if oyur looking for high performance, the atts is the wrong way to go in the first place. and you aren't really wasting your money by disabling the atts. it's not that special. plus he would still have the shorter gears of the h22, which, i am assuming, is why he would want a h22 tranny in the first place. either way, you can use it on the motor. if you want to use the atts, you just have to modify a little bit, if not, just disable it.

errrr nope... there are plenty of other h22 trannys that you can use, you gotta do your hw before you start talking. t2w4, u2q4, also you can use the m2a4 first 3 gears, 4th and 5th off the h23 m2s4 and have a killer tranny with a sick final drive ( thats what i am building) and you throw a quaif and done.
you can also do an h2b.
And yes, the SH tranny with the atts does make a difference, it makes the car handle a lot better than any other tranny. why do you think honda put the SH system in the new RL? the SH system distributes power evenly throughout the wheels so you get the best handling and best acceleration on turns.
but for now a days drag racing thats not needed so you disable the atts... now thats a waste.

exactly... it acts as an electronic lsd. BUT if your going for high horsepower, it really won't help that much. as for the other comments, not many people have the kind of money to be putting custom gear sets in their tranny, therefor that information is kind of useless. and i have done my homework...

ehhhh but if you want that high HW you need to spend money, thats a fact.
and if you wanna go cheap on the tranny then you might've well not build anything at all.
there are plenty of other trannys available that are lsd equiped factory honda, m2b4, t2t5, u2q4, t2w4. buyin the SH tranny is a waste unless you use it.
And the SH tranny is not bad, its great for circuit driving. after all, it was designed for that purpose, not for going fast in a straight line. any other tranny can do that.

i wasn't saying it was bad. if you can get one cheap, i say go for it. i just think that getting a regular lsd transmission, or buying a quaife (or an equivilant), would be a good idea,

cheap is not always reliable. if you want something done right, you are gonna have to spend an extra dollar. That extra dollar goes a long way.
    learned that from experience.
as you said, you bought the civic with the swap, you dont really know if thats an sh tranny or do you?

it was an integra, and he had the recipt for the engine swap, so if it wasn't, he's the one who got ripped off. i had all recipts for all of the parts put into the car, and all were correct, so i'm assuming that it was right.

ehhhh i dont trust cars with swaps that already have been done to them, i did my own swap and i just got another tranny.
this might not be the case but ppl buy hot parts, throw them on cars and sell them. then ppl drive those things, get stopped by crime stoppers and they are done. seen this before and its not cool, you could have all the receipts you want. once tehy run the vin# on the part and it tells them its hot no matter howmany receipts you got, they gonna take your car and might even throw you in jail.
thats one of the reasons i only buy jdm parts, they cant run those vin#'s. And i buy these parts from trusted places.

well, the car's gone anyways, and the tranny is sitting in my shop, so not really a problem anymore. plus we don't really have a problem with cops messing with us anyways around here, they don't care much about what we do as long as we don't bother anyone.
