In the market for a B18B and I don't want to get ripped off. How much would I expect to pay for a complete B18B with tranny?

expect to pay $600-$1000 for a complete swap. obviously lower miles or with mods will be priced at the higher end.

yea it depends where you're located and what kind of mileage or mods are done to it. if you're talking about stock you might be able to find one on your local craigslist for a few hundred bucks. i paid a friend $300 for his b18b, and i had to pull it myself. but since i had his wrecked car in my posession i took anything else out worth selling, including the gauge cluster and cluster plugs lol. it was going to the junkyard anyway so

Lets say it has around 150,000 miles on it. What is the most you would pay? Located in Ca. Also, what are some ways that I can check to make sure the motor is still in good condition other than a leak down test?

I'd say more like $1000-$1200 for a good motor / trans / ecu.
