Since my hookup on a Greddy system fell through, I'm looking for something else. I've got about $200 to spend. Here's my options I'm considering above. Vote on what you think is best and sounds nicest. I've been really impressed with the Magnaflow sound. Prices above include shipping. My catback is about $75 in town with 2 1/4" piping.

Magnaflow looks like it would be the most quiet- go with that.

That is what I have heard. Most straight-through mufflers like the N1 are going to be pretty loud. Magnaflow and flowmaster have baffles in their mufflers and are going to be a lot quieter than a straight through design. For what it is worth my buddy has a magnaflow on his 96 eclipse, and it sounds wicked awesome, and is not loud at all.

Huh? I thought most Magnaflows were straight through also... they just have a lot more fiberglass stuffed in the case than the N1.

I think you are right. I was thinking of mostly flowmaster, and this design.

Yeah, that one is chambered though- not really baffled like how Flowmaster builds their stuff.

i dont think n1s are that loud...infact my exhaust is louder lol. i have a straight pipe and twin-tip muffler(stock d15b), my friend has a n1 muffler with just cat(eg with ITR swap); it has a higher pitched sound then my car but i can only hear him when im hes WOT on road. that magnaflow looks nice; i would rather have that then what i have now. plus imo the apexi n1 is pretty big.

The longer one in the picture on the right.

I haven't had it welded on yet, but I've heard a sound clip on honda-tech and it sounded nice, alot better than the n/a apex'i n1 I had on there.

its all about the sound u want to present...do u want to be heard all the way down your street and neighborhood..or do u want people to sleep on you, until u get into higher rpms?...me personally i would go with the apex-i N1 muffler...i like big mufflers, and loud exhaust.
