Upper balljoints?

I have a 89 Crx and i need to replace the upper balljoints, are they connected to the control arms?

Yes, they're connected to the upper control arms. I think it's possible to remove them, but when you buy them they come with the upper control arms anyways(at least from what I've seen).

just did it on my 93 accord and the ball joint and controll arm are one piece from a replacement. when the ball joint goes you have to replace the whole upper controll arm
