urgent help 1990 civic

    hi there just need info i have done a 1.6 vtec conversion on my 1.3 civic just need some help on this matter as im doing all the work myself is there a fuel pump in the 1.3 carb engine could there be one in the tank or do i have to run a pump in the tank and lines up to the 1.6 vtec engine any help would be great thanks

    im not sure but either way you will need a new fuel pump.

    i just need to know if there is a fuel pump in the car and if so do i have to take tank out

    well theres a pump somewhere but dont know if its in the tank or not

    could the pump be running of the camshaft in the 1.3 carb engine i took out?

    it possible because some motors do that.

    I know my ef has the pump in the tank but i don't know about a 1.3.:dunno:

    I imagine your fuel tank has provisions for a fuel pump for mpfi setup cars because half of the ef's sold had mpfi. You should be able to easily access the pump location by pulling the back seat and removing the cover to the top of the fuel pump. Then hopefully you can get an entire pump assembly from a junkyard mpfi car, drop it in, wire it up, and go.
