Using a car stereo for my ice chest..

Hey.. I'm sure you've all seen the ice chest stereo's which seem to be all the rage these days. I'm building one with an old second hand Dual headunit.

My question is this.. how do i deal with the ignition wire? I've got my ground and memory wires connected to the negative and positive leads, and i've tried putting the ignition with the +12v, with and without a switch, however the headunit never turned on.. anyone have an ideas?

Unit should turn on when "ignition" gets 12v, which I'm assuming is "switched +12v", if not check the fuse, etc. It might even be the HU itself; I had that issue before.

Solved the problem - there was a bad alligator clip i was using.
