Thats another reason I went with the base model I could care less about any of the add on crap.

the only thing I wanted was a LSD but the stock unit from what I understand sucks so I could care less anyways =) If anyone has a Nismo LSD sitting around let me know =)

So upgrade it. ;) I think Sport compact car will be getting around to doing that soon.
 
i think if the 350 was made a 1000 pounds lighter I might care to take it for a spin... but until they bring the weight down forget it a 300zx TT is faster

the fastest stock 300Z turbo runs a 13.8. The fastest 350Z stock runs 14.1.

Welp both of you are wrong the fastest time so far is 13.7 for a 350Z
the 350Z is just as fast if not faster then a 300ZXTT and also it handles better.

Yes it is heavy at 3000lbs but who friggin cares take the car for a spin and you will understand what I mean when I say..... who cares

As far as the LSD goes I would buy it from Nissan the Nismo unit is not to harsh for street driving and it also WILL NOT void the warrenty

it is obvious it handles better... but I would like to see the time slip for it doing a 13.7 on STOCK EVERYTHING... car and driver = 14.1 autoweek = 14.2 most 350z sites even give it a 14.1....

if someone found a way to get a 13.7 on STOCK everything.. then I would love to see the proof.....

and how bout a few videos proving the 300zx is faster than a 350z.... the 300zx is even heavier.....

Like I said before if you take the weight out of a 350z then it would be freakin awesome...... and I have driven one and a 300zx TT and i still prefer the 300 over the 350.... for now

I like nissanninja wanna see proof of this stock 13.7. This is like the time some guy tried to tell me that 04 Mustang GTs can click off 13.7s easily all the time on street tires...when the fastest time I've seen for a stock motor'd GT was 13.9 with slicks.
 
Ok.. now I have to ask.. how is it that everyone else made a 14.1 and motortrend gets a 13.7....

almost 1/2 a second.... just from drivers.... NO sorry... Im going to go ahead and not go with this...
 
Well for one it's a 2004 and not a 2003 also theres 4 different model 350Zs the one reviewed is the track model that comes STOCK with 18" light weight RAYS wheels...

Also you could factor in the altitude and air temp.....

and once again I've seen many fellow 350Zers run 13.9s with stock cars even with the loaded models that have the 18" normal wheels.

Also another thing to think about is the 287HP from the factory is a AVG of X many motors they dyno.

I've seen stock 350Zs dyno sheets at 230 to 255WHP who knows maybe that 13.7 car was one of the 250+WHP cars on the other hand I've still seen a shitload of 350S break into the 13s stock....

All I can say is go out and test drive a 350Z I've yet to find someone who didnt care for the car after driving it

you can bash it all you want but till you drive it.....

Lets see

CRX SI made 105HP and 101 Torque. weighs in around what? 2000ish?
Civic SI made 160hp and 111 torque. and weighs in around 2500-2600lbs
Integra GSR makes 170HP and 125 Torque and weighs in at about 2700lbs
NSX makes 290HP and 224lbs torque and weighs in at 3153lbs

However the fat ass pig like 350Z makes 287HP, 274lbs torque and the base models weighs in at a porky 3188lbs and the fully loaded model weighs in at 3247lbs

holy shit you mean the 350Z weighs 35lbs more then the NSX? 94lbs more if it happens to be fully loaded with subs and heated leather seats? as with a nav system DVD unit and side/front airbags? Hmmmm

NSX runs 13s what makes you think a 350Z can't?

WOW I think we all need to start bashing the hell out of the fat ass NSX for being such a over weight 2 seater wannabie supercar.

also with 117 more HP and 154 more ft lbs of torque and 400 more lbs of weight.... the Integra GSR sure does make the 350Z sound like a slow ass fat over weight car.
