V-Tec Problem...or not?

Hello, i did a jdm b16 swap in to my ek a few weeks ago and im noticing that the v-tec does kick in however you can barely hear it...there really isnt much of a pull and its hard to hear it compared to my buddy's stock 99 si where the v-tec is really loud and you feel more of a pull...

any suggestions?

You know i'm having that exact same problem right now too. Engine seems to run fine but no V-Tec;
that I can tell anyways.

There's too many different things it could be, why does it need to be loud?
If it's working, it's probably working. Mine was loud until i put my header on, now it's a pretty quiet change-over. It was really loud before i took my catalytic converter off too.
It's airflow, and how well it's running, have you tuned it up, or added/taken anything from it?
