Ok, heres the set up. Your typical mild ls/vtec build:

B18a w/

ls crank
ls rods
pr3 pistons
redecked block to .010
b16 head milled/ resurface .15
CTR intake cam
ITR exhauste cam
OEM 3 layer head gasket

The question is:

Is there going to be any valve to piston clearence problems?

And am I safe running 93 octane pump gas w/ this set up? My CR should be 11.6 or 11.9

Any info would be great.

i have 81.25mm pr3 pistons on LS rods with the head milled .020" , ctr intake cam, itr exhaust cam, ls crank....

i have no valve clearance issues at all and use an OEM headgasket and run 93 octane fuel , tuned with hondata.

i used the c-speed CR calculator and came up with 12.3:1 or so on that setup

12.3:1!!!! Damn that high (for me). So will I be safe running w/ 93 octane with out any tunning on the ecu. It's gonna be kinda hard for me cause i'm running OBDII. Will I be OK to use a ITR or CTR ecu?

you'll need some form of tuning... at least a vafc.. you're about to be running like 10%-15% to lean.. my car was nearly 20% too lean using a stock GSR map.

my rods were not shotpeened either

Well, this sucks then. I am still gonna put the head and block together, any timing setting that you would recomend? How much did your hondata cost you pills? I have a OBDII to OBDI conversion harness already.

Any one want to trade a OBDI p72 for a OBDII p72?
