will normal base coat and clear coat car paint be ok to paint a valve cover with or will it get to hot

get atleast the 500 degree paint

do they make 500 degree car paint base coat..and ive already got the paint lol

just get a high temp for a base coat.. i used the low gloss black under the gold on mine

Have you checked out jcwhitney's site. if not you should they make 1500 degree paint. put in exaust paint and high temp manifold paint etc will come up. good luck.
