vtec electronic issues

my 2000 siR has a b18c in it and im not sure that when they switched the engine all of the electronic components are functioning properly(because my vtec isnt kickin in) my speedo is kind of shotty and works sometimes then doesnt, i have a check engine light that rondomely comes on and im nto sure the condition of my solenoid. I JUST WANT MY VTEC TO WORK PLEASE HELP!!!!!

i told you before...vss...speedo freaking out...CEL....its the speed sensor...do i need to tell you again. without the speed sensor your car thinks you are doing 0 MPH and will not allow VTEC to engage...stop double posting, GRRRR!!
