Ok...Maybe some of yous know but i still got the single overhead 1.6 (D16Z6) vtec motor in my 94 hatch...I noticed something...Vtec only works when the motors below operating temp...When it goes past that temp (operating temp.) and you hold it flat to the floor it just misses and backfires and only revs to 4500...When the motors somewhat cold (after warming up in the am) it revs to 7000 nice and smooth...what the hell is the problem here?? Someone please help me!!! Thanks!

mine was doing the same thing...my timing was 7 degrees retarded (vacuum leak and i set it at 16 degrees at 2000 rpms) and then i replaced the O2 sensor as well. Cleared that problem right up.

If it is low oil, his problems woud be due to the oil's changes under tempurature right?
