i just swapped my d16z6 out of my 93 coupe and i put a d15bvtec in it and when it started as soon as i let off the clutch it makes a loud nasty rattling sound.. then when i press on the clutch it stays quiet.. and another thing my vtec is not working.. can it be that the solenoid doesnt work maybe i can just switch this one with the one off the d16??

it could be for vtec to work you gotto have oil pressur temp has to be right and power to the selnoid has to be right just run a wire from the selnoid over to the hot post and tap the pst a few times to make sure you hear it click

sounds like a loose flywheel. or somewhere else(loose clutch, pressure plate) as for the v-tec is it wired up properly? if it's wired up right you have a bad solenoid and just use the one from the old motor.
