If you look at your distributor is your #1 cylinder the forward most plug on the distributor cap? When i pulled mine apart the only way to get the cylinder positioning sensor to be in sync with the #1 cylinder was to have the plug wire on the forward most plug terminal. All the manuals and pix i have looked at show otherwise

Also is there supposed to be a vaccuum line on the firewall top right side of the intake manafold? There is a component there and it has two vaccuum lines from the side and bottom but it is open at the top like there is supposed to be one coming off it but since i pieced the engine together i am just shooting in the dark.
 
no the # 1 wire should be in the top back postion the one on the back is were # 1 needs to go
 
listen to him he probly knows more than me i havent seen my car in a while
