vtec solenoid questions

im doing an ls/vtec swap into a 97 teg gs. im switching to obd1. the engine is a b18b block, pr3 b16a head and manifold. the vtec solenoid only has 1 wire coming from it . am i missing something?? shouldnt there be another sensor??

Nope, that is the sensor. It just needs the one wire for power.

If it is a JDM head it will not have the VTEC pressure sensor. You can hack around this by splicing the VTEC pressure wire into the VTEC solenoid wire, or you can get a VTEC pressure sensor and wire it up properly.
