    i've lost vtec!!!!

i had my buddy hook up his diagnostic tool....and it threw a code for vtec. i was wondering if anyone knew if there was a "typical" failure on vtec solenoid? if its a valve thing or the solenoid....how can you test it to make sure its truly bad?

also anyone know where i can get new parts for the vtec.....? anyone selling any used ones?

run a wire from the vtec solenoid over to the hot post on the battery and just tap it with the car off and see if it makes a clicking sound if it does then it should be good
