vx tranny question

i have a 92 vx hatch (manual) and the gearing in it is about the same as my old 96 cx auto. it seems to me like my gears especially second and third are really long. i shift out of second at around 68mph. should i swap the tranny? if so wat tranny would you recommend?

Because the VX is designed for economy. Just find yourself a nice D16z6 motor and trans. If you can't afford all that just swap the trans from said motor. I'm not sure what you'll need as far as axles but I think the EX has different hubs than the VX.
