It would help if I knew who that was. Better yet, I think I'm good not knowing. Fucking hippie.

I'm only 50k away right now (for joint married) and I do not consider myself anywhere near rich. If my wife goes back to work, then we're in this rich category..I'm not in that uber wealthy category myself, but a couple family members are, and anyone that thinks $125,000, or $250,000 a year is wealthy is a fucking clueless idiot. Well off? Sure, doesn't have to worry about what, or how they are eating every night? Sure, wealthy? Hell fucking no.
Ok, I just had to quote this to say this is only related to pansy liberal states. Nothing of what you said was true about my k-12. On top of that, my university is nothing like that. Sure, I am getting a real degree (mechanical engineering), but I took political science and speech classes from professors who were born in Texas, and there was no indoctrination bullshit that you're talking about.Yep, and the liberals push programs like student because 12 years just isnt enough time to fill you with utter hatred for your country.
Utter hatred for business owners who exist for no reason other than to screw customers, hoard their wealth, underpay their employees and fly around in corporate jets. Utter hatred for the principles our country was founded on, like individual responsibility and work ethic. Utter hatred for the idea that the individual is best able to provide for themselves and not the herd.
The mushbrains coming out of modern american universities have had 16 years of leftist indoctrination, first at the hands of the Teachers Union (k-12) and then at the hands of socialist professors who dominate the education landscape. The students are taught to believe that “rich people” ($250k on a joint tax return = $125k yearly per person.. this is Obamas definition) should support their every want and desire; free healthcare, free college education, guaranteed employment, guaranteed wages (living wage)... the list goes On and On.
The Liberal agenda moves forward each and every day in this country. Here is an example from the recent healthcare legislation. Now they want you to be classified as a dependent on your parents heathcare until you are 26. Think about that - a country of 26yr old, mush brain, crybaby dependents! With current unemployment among the mushbrain population at an all time high, none of them will be able to get jobs or pay for their own heathcare until they are 30. The dependent age will have to be risen again! Go back to grad school, more indoctrination since you cant get a job, delay REAL LIFE and stay in OUR world for few more years so WE can prepare you to think and act the way we want.
The liberal agenda is a continuous agenda. It does not stop.
If you finish 12th grade, 16% of your life will have been subjected to liberal indoctrination. At a 4 year university, thats 21%, and if you go to grad school thats 25%. They want as much of your life as they can get. Thats why incentives exist for you to spend MORE TIME in the American education system. (assume a 75 year life)
If we are bombarded with the left for years, where are all the conservatives coming from?

Most places hand out trophies to all the kids for taking part. Hell ive heard some places dont even keep score. Remember kids you are all equal and every deserves the same thing no matter how you do.
DarkHand said:Whether we care about what they're there for or not, what is everyone's opinion about all the video and reports of cops macing and beating protestors?
I would have considered myself very liberal coming out of college (yes, I went to a state college). Once I got into the working world, had my own responsibilities did I start listening more about politics from both sides and making my own decisions. It also helps that my father and step-father are/were both very conservative.Id say upbringing or folks who take it upon themselves to learn out side of the classroom. Most of the programing that people talk about is more subtle. How much time did you guys learn about Vietnam in high school? I think i learned more about hippies than the actual war. Kent state was also talked about. Not one word was ever said about Weather Underground or the Black Panthers. Its little stuff like that piled on over a long period of time. Look at kids sporting events. Most places hand out trophies to all the kids for taking part. Hell ive heard some places dont even keep score. Remember kids you are all equal and every deserves the same thing no matter how you do. Now the kids that fall victim to this lie grow up to be self absorbed douchebags that just know they deserve a boss or a raise because they showed up to work. Its these little subtle nudges that snow ball into this. Debate and peaceful protest is a damn fine thing but a lot of these protesters showed up to a gun fight without any bullets.
I give myself liberal social, conservative fiscally.
Same here, I think people should be able to marry which ever other consenting adult(s) they want to, while shooting heroin in the room next to their personal armory, as long as they are doing it on their dime, and not the states.
You're a slave, wake up, you don't have to be.
Demand one: Restoration of the living wage. This demand can only be met by ending "Freetrade" by re-imposing trade tariffs on all imported goods entering the American market to level the playing field for domestic family farming and domestic manufacturing as most nations that are dumping cheap products onto the American market have radical wage and environmental regulation advantages. Another policy that must be instituted is raise the minimum wage to twenty dollars an hr.
When everyone is making $20 an hour, and the market corrects, guess what happens to your shiny new "living wage"? That's right, you might as well still be making the old minimum wage.
Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system. To do this all private insurers must be banned from the healthcare market as their only effect on the health of patients is to take money away from doctors, nurses and hospitals preventing them from doing their jobs and hand that money to wall st. investors.
Gee, and I thought they help people to afford emergency medical procedures that they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.
Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
Huh? Why should everyone pay to ensure that everyone is given a living wage? Why would anyone continue to work if you are guaranteed a living wage for doing nothing? Fucking idiocy
Demand four: Free college education.
Why? We've got hundreds of thousands of college graduates right now that can't find a job. Oh, and who's going to pay all the teachers, and build all the facilities? Unicorns on rainbows?
Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.
Sure, just as soon as you can find a viable replacement. Sometimes I think people can't comprehend the scope of Americas energy demands.
Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river systems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants.
Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Ahhh more laws based on race and gender, that will do the trick
Demand nine: Open borders migration. anyone can travel anywhere to work and live.
This will do wonders to help out that "living wage" he was discussing earlier.
Demand ten: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system.
Great idea, lets make our elections like the shining examples in say... Africa, or Cuba, maybe Russia, some many great "international standards" out there to choose from.
Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all. Debt forgiveness of sovereign debt, commercial loans, home mortgages, home equity loans, credit card debt, student loans and personal loans now! All debt must be stricken from the "Books." World Bank Loans to all Nations, Bank to Bank Debt and all Bonds and Margin Call Debt in the stock market including all Derivatives or Credit Default Swaps, all 65 trillion dollars of them must also be stricken from the "Books." And I don't mean debt that is in default, I mean all debt on the entire planet period.
Right, because people shouldn't be responsible for their debts. I can almost guarantee this is some douche bag that finally realized that the $150,000 in students loans wasn't worth the education he got and doesn't want to pay it back.
Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.
Yea, wouldn't want to be able to track people and their irresponsibility.
Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot at any time during a union organizing campaign or at any time that represents their yeah or nay to having a union represent them in collective bargaining or to form a union.
These demands will create so many jobs it will be completely impossible to fill them without an open borders policy.
This was unanimously voted on by all members of Occupy Wall Street last night, around 8pm, Sept 29. It is our first official document for release. We have three more underway, that will likely be released in the upcoming days: 1) A declaration of demands. 2) Principles of Solidarity 3) Documentation on how to form your own Direct Democracy Occupation Group.
This is a living document. you can receive an official press copy of the latest version by emailing c2anycga@gmail.com.
Declaration of the Occupation of New York City
As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.
As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.
They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.
They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.
They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one's skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.
They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.
They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless nonhuman animals, and actively hide these practices.
They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.
They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.
They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.
They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility.
They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.
They have sold our privacy as a commodity.
They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press.
They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.
They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.
They have donated large sums of money to politicians supposed to be regulating them.
They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.
They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantive profit.
They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.
They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.
They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.
They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad.
They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.
They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts. *

People are pissed about corporate responsibility. In my office, a very very conservative, fortune 200 company, we're pissed. The bank collapse fucked us for 3 years and it took 3 years of rebuilding to get back to 2008+ numbers. THERE WAS NO CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY IN THE 2000'S.
Now on the protesters. Unfortunately the only people that can protest, and usually have the stones to are the fucking hippies and zealots. They have the conviction to drop everything, or nothing for that matter and go do it. I'm seeing a lot of kent state and vietnam bull shit in this thread, and without the fucking hippies we'd be still in that god forsaken mess.
Look at the middle east. Look at the 2000 era of fucking spending. Halliburton had a former President as a Vice President of the USA. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
This is a non-partisan protest. I'm pissed as a fiscal conservative because Washington did NOT crack down on wall street and regulate it like it should have.
House ****** mentality.Yea a slave, that's why I am free to do what I want, because I am a slave. The problem with that line of thinking is that in order for someone to be a slave, they have to have an owner, who's the slave master? The "Man"? The "System"? or are all the "rich" people colluding to socially engineer a salve labor force? Sorry, but there's no ambiguous slave driver, and people are not slaves. We are born, and then one day we die, in between we make choices that determine what happens in our lives. Those choices aren't predetermined by some sinister man behind an iron curtain. Some people make good choices, and end up with a nice life, some people make bad choice and end up with a shit life, and some are just lucky, or unlucky.
